Practice Overview

Our practice is led by an internationally recognized surgeon specializing in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), with a reputation for advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques in the treatment of endometriosis, fibroids, pelvic pain, and other complex benign gynecologic conditions. Our office is equipped for in-office outpatient hysteroscopic procedures using the Storz hysteroscope and others, allowing many diagnostic and minor operative procedures to be performed comfortably in the office setting rather than the OR. 

Beyond surgical gynecology, our practice takes a whole-health approach to women's wellness, offering genomics/genetic testing in women's health, diet and nutrition counseling and hair loss evaluation and treatment — giving patients a comprehensive path to overall health alongside their gynecologic care. 

We are seeking a dedicated, patient-focused Physician Assistant to join our team and manage the full spectrum of outpatient gynecologic and wellness care, allowing our surgeon to focus on surgical volume and complex case management.

Position Summary

The PA will work part-time in the office setting, independently and collaboratively managing patient visits across the full gynecologic care continuum — from annual well-woman exams to pre-operative workups and post-operative follow-up for a high-acuity MIGS surgical population. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys autonomy, longitudinal patient relationships, and working alongside a nationally/internationally respected surgical specialist.

Key Responsibilities 
Clinical Care 
-See patients independently in the office for a daily schedule of gynecologic visits, including annual exams, problem visits, and consultations. 
-Conduct new patient intake visits, obtaining detailed histories for complex conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain, and abnormal uterine bleeding. 
-Perform pelvic exams, in-office procedures (e.g., IUD insertion/removal, endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, Nexplanon insertion/removal, urodynamic procedures, and transvaginal ultrasounds), and order/interpret relevant labs and imaging. 
-Support and, depending on training/credentialing, perform or assist with in-office outpatient hysteroscopic procedures using the Storz hysteroscope (e.g., diagnostic hysteroscopy, polypectomy, targeted biopsy), including patient prep, procedure support, and post-procedure care. 
-Offer and manage the practice's integrative wellness services, including ordering/reviewing genomics and genetic testing relevant to women's health, and counseling patients on diet and nutrition, hair loss, and immune support integrated with gynecologic health. 
-Manage pre-operative clearance visits: history and physical, surgical consent review, pre-op testing coordination, and patient education on upcoming MIGS procedures. 
-Manage post-operative follow-up visits, monitoring recovery, addressing complications, and coordinating additional care as needed. 
-Prescribe and manage medical management plans (hormonal therapy, pain management, medical management of fibroids/endometriosis) under applicable state scope-of-practice regulations. 
-Triage and respond to patient phone calls, portal messages, and urgent same-day concerns. 
Care Coordination 
-Serve as a key point of contact for patients throughout their surgical journey — from initial consult through post-op recovery. 
-Coordinate referrals to specialists (pain management, pelvic floor PT, fertility, colorectal/urology for complex MIGS cases) as needed. 
-Collaborate closely with the surgeon on complex case planning and surgical scheduling priorities. 
-Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks). 
Practice Support 
-Help build and maintain clinical protocols and patient education materials. 
-Support quality initiatives and patient satisfaction efforts. 
-Assist with prior authorizations and surgical scheduling documentation as needed. 

Requirements

Qualifications 
Required 
-Active, unrestricted state license as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA-certified) or Nurse Practitioner (board-certified, WHNP or FNP preferred). 
-Current DEA license or eligibility to obtain one. 
-1+ years of clinical experience in women's health, obstetrics/gynecology, or a related field preferred (new graduates with strong OB/GYN rotations may be considered). 
-Comfort performing routine gynecologic procedures (pelvic exams, IUD placement, biopsies) or willingness to be trained. 
-Strong clinical judgment and comfort working with a high-acuity, complex surgical patient population. 
-Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. 
-Ability to work independently and confidently manage a full daily clinic schedule. 
Preferred 
-Prior experience in a MIGS, REI, urogynecology, or high-volume GYN surgical practice. 
-Experience with pre-operative and post-operative surgical patient management. 
-Familiarity with in-office hysteroscopy or willingness to be trained on the Storz hysteroscopy system. 
-Interest or experience in integrative/functional women's health, including genomics-based testing, nutrition, or wellness-focused care. 
-Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Athena, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or similar).
